Studies have shown that it is healthier to eat less meat – only two portions are week are enough. Also, it is strongly in favour of our planet to reduce our meat consume, as resources are saved when less animals are kept. These and more reasons contribute to the steady growth of the vegetarian community – those among us who decide not to eat meat, but will have dairy products, eggs and, in some cases, also fish. Sounds boring to you, considering you’re in the city of Currywursts and Turkish kebaps? Actually, it’s not, and we have gathered some restaurants that will prove just this.

This place is all about all food-related topics: Natural’Mente in Charlottenburg serves food, teaches cookery classes and give lectures (for example, on macrobiotic nutrition). By the riverside

Located beautifully right next to the river Spree, The Lab Kitchen is one of the most popular vegetarian restaurants in Berlin. In fact, they don’t have a website, as word of mouth is all they need. (However, you can find out more on Facebook.) The concept was developed for a sports good manufacturer, but the creator liked it so much she opened this place herself! Now she serves veggie, vegan, raw and sometimes paleo food.
